La Universidad Nacional Aut\u00f3noma de M\u00e9xico ha anunciado el descubrimiento de una especie \u00fanica de pez en Costa Rica. Este pez, denominado Ophisternon berlini, es una anguila falsa que se ha adaptado para vivir en el lodo h\u00famedo y oscuro de los bosques tropicales, convirti\u00e9ndola en la tercera especie conocida con caracter\u00edsticas tan peculiares. Dirigidos por el investigador Jairo Arroyave, los estudios indican que esta especie muestra notables adaptaciones como la reducci\u00f3n de tama\u00f1o y la ausencia de pigmentaci\u00f3n, caracter\u00edsticas propias de organismos que residen en condiciones de oscuridad.
