El 2 de mayo, Chile fue sacudido por un sismo de magnitud 7.5, cuyo epicentro se ubic\u00c3\u00b3 a 218 kil\u00c3\u00b3metros al sur de Puerto Williams con una profundidad de 21.0 kil\u00c3\u00b3metros. En respuesta, las autoridades han declarado alerta de tsunami y han ordenado la evacuaci\u00c3\u00b3n en la costa sur del pa\u00c3\u00ads y en el territorio ant\u00c3\u00a1rtico. El Servicio Nacional de Prevenci\u00c3\u00b3n y Respuesta ante Desastres (Senapred) inform\u00c3\u00b3 que est\u00c3\u00a1 evaluando los posibles da\u00c3\u00b1os a personas y a la infraestructura.
