La hipertensi\u00c3\u00b3n arterial en la poblaci\u00c3\u00b3n joven de M\u00c3\u00a9xico est\u00c3\u00a1 en aumento, un fen\u00c3\u00b3meno que resulta inquietante y que se atribuye principalmente al sobrepeso, la obesidad y a la inactividad f\u00c3\u00adsica durante la infancia y adolescencia, advirtieron m\u00c3\u00a9dicos especialistas.
\n De acuerdo con la Encuesta Nacional de Salud y Nutrici\u00c3\u00b3n (ENSANUT), pr\u00c3\u00b3ximo a la mitad de los adultos en el pa\u00c3\u00ads vive con esta condici\u00c3\u00b3n cr\u00c3\u00b3nica degenerativa, cuya prevalencia se ha duplicado en los \u00c3\u00baltimos 20 a\u00c3\u00b1os.
\n Con motivo del D\u00c3\u00ada Mundial de la Hipertensi\u00c3\u00b3n, que se conmemora este 17 de mayo, el doctor Tom\u00c3\u00a1s Miranda Aquino, m\u00c3\u00a9dico del servicio de cardiolog\u00c3\u00ada del Hospital Civil de Guadalajara, destac\u00c3\u00b3 que cada vez m\u00c3\u00a1s j\u00c3\u00b3venes entre 20 y 30 a\u00c3\u00b1os llegan a consulta con cifras elevadas de presi\u00c3\u00b3n arterial.
\n “Generalmente los diagnosticamos a partir de los 40 a\u00c3\u00b1os. Ahora estamos viendo a j\u00c3\u00b3venes entre 20 y 25 a\u00c3\u00b1os con cifras elevadas”, destac\u00c3\u00b3 el doctor.
